I have spent over 23 years working with children and their families and from September 2023 took over the role as manager of the setting.  The most important part of my role is to offer a high level of care and support that makes a difference for children and their families enabling every child to be motivated confident learners.

I live with my husband and my dog Ozzie. We have been blessed with two daughters and recently became grandparents for the first time.  I see myself as loyal, warm friendly, caring person. I enjoy cooking, listening to music, reading and keeping fit walking exploring nature and spending quality time with my family and friends.

I have worked with children now for 22 years and after studying at college my first job was working as a Teaching Assistant  at a Special needs School in Peterborough working with children in reception through to year 6,  where I supported them through their ever day needs and learning.  I then worked with children from the age of 11 to 18 in a secure unit supporting them with their education and life skills to support them in their future career. Two of my children attended pre school and they both really enjoyed their time which then led to taking on a job as a key worker there three years ago. I have three fantastic children and a dog. We love going on lots of nice walks and spending time as a family cooking.

I have worked with children for over 12 years from when I left school. I have worked in nursery settings and as a nanny. I’ve also had before and after school club roles. In the last few years I worked in a soft play centre and organised children’s parties. I live with my partner and our little girl.

In my spare time I spend time with my family, friends and enjoy days out with my little one and my nephew.

Sue King

Hi my name is Sue King.

I have worked 19 years as a preschool practitioner. I have worked in a preschool for 13 years, until I moved to Lincolnshire. Since then I have worked in the baby room caring for babies from the age of 6 months to 2 years for six years. I have enjoyed every moment and I feel I have made a difference to the children's lives. I'm a calm caring person who loves to make a difference. I live with my husband and my youngest son. My other son is married with two boys. I enjoy reading, making crochet toys, walking and spending time with my family.

Nicola Ferdinand

I was prevously manager of the setting and am now taking care of the business administration.  I will also occasionally be working within the setting with the children. All of my 3 daughters have attended the preschool and loved their time here. I have spent the majority of my working life in various business and childcare roles.  I worked for a short time at preschool in the early 00's and then moved on to train as a teaching assistant whilst working at Langtoft Primary School.  In my spare time I'm an Explorer scout leader and love spending times camping and being outdoors.

Suzanne Chappell

Hi my name is Suzanne Chappell.  I have been at preschool for 11 years working with many children who are now grown up themselves. I have been married to Paul for 25 years and we have two grown up boys.  We run a small family farm in Deeping st Nicholas, with our boys recently starting to work for us.  When I was at school I wanted to work in childcare but my career went on a different path.  So when I had an opportunity to work at the nursery where our boys went, I was able to fulfill my ambition.  20 years later I still love my career and look forward to many more years in this rewarding job.
